Metfin gives Nu-Pro a business advantage in the aerospace industry

According to Martin Trigg-Hogarth BSc (hons) MRSC, Nu-Pro Surface Treatment's Process Manager, Metfin has given them the edge in the complex and highly regulated aerospace business.

Martin explains: "The structure of Metfin is 'right' for the aerospace business and quality control has been built into the system and not added as a bolt on package. This has allowed us to comply with the requirements of NADCAP without great increases in administration helping us to keep costs down.

Another key element of Metfin is its bar code functionality which allows us to use very low cost systems, and have in turn reduced the time taken in the non-value added functions such as despatch and inspection. We believe that if the industry were to develop more bar coding systems this would greatly reduce costs in the sector, and this is something that Nu-Pro Surface Treatments are pushing for.

However the main benefit of Metfin is its flexibility - as customer demands change, the system can also be changed in a timely and cost effective manner. This flexible nature of Metfin makes it 'future proofed' which once more is a cost saving as training costs are reduced."
